» Belt Loops
We consider the belt loops (Sports and Academics Program) to be fun Cub Scout "Bling." We like to give them out, and we budget for their purchase. If we had our way, we would give out something to each boy at every Pack meeting (belt loops, patches, rank, etc). Has your Scout completed the requirements for a belt loop this month? Schedule a belt loop as a gathering activity for each Den Meeting. By the end of the month, your Scouts will earn at least one.
Sports & Academics

Welcome!
We are Pack 500 -- one of the largest packs in San Antonio. Most of our 100+ boys attend Hardy Oak Elementary School. We meet once a month as a pack, and the dens meet 1-3 times per month (on various schedules). The den sets their own pace, based on the input from the parents and extracurricular activities of the boys. We welcome all boys 1st through 5th grades to join us. Click on the Contacts page for more information.
February's Theme is "Happy Birthday, BSA!"

Boy Scouts of America is 100 years old in 2010 and we will celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime anniversary all year long, but especially in February at our annual Blue and Gold Banquet on Thursday, Feb. 25th! An excellent way to have fun and show your Scouting spirit is to earn the Year of Celebration (or 100th Anniversary) Patch with Ribbons!

Program participants will earn recognition for making a difference in their communities due to their dedication to five of Scouting's core values: Leadership, Character, Community Service, Achievement, and the Outdoors. Through that commitment, participants can earn each of five award ribbons to display from our 100th Anniversary commemorative patch. A Year of Celebration will take place through December 31, 2010. The program is open to all Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, adult leaders, and Scouting alumni.

Tracking Sheets are available on our 'Forms' page or go to the Year of Celebration webpage

Scout Sunday is February 7 and Scout Sabbath is February 13!

Wear your Scout uniform to your family's place of worship!
